Bad Panasonic marketing people are trying to confuse the public. Reputable rice cooker makers, such as Zojirushi, have always marketed using uncooked/raw rice capacity only. When you compare products, ignore the cooked capacity gimmick in the title; this is simply a 10-cup cooker. By the way, just for your information, a "cup" has always been the small cup that comes with the rice cooker....
