This review is from: Panasonic SR-LE10 5-Cup Rice Cooker with Advanced Fuzzy Logic TechnologyI have the Panasonic SR-MM10NS rice cooker and I absolutely love it! It makes cooking rice so easy and the brown rice comes out perfect! I have also made a variety of other rices and they have turned out great as well. The model I have comes apart and I can clean the inside top and other parts very easily. I have also used the steamer which is great. The luxury of this cooker is that you set it up and in an hour to two hours your rice is finished. Great to set up right before dinner!...This review is from: Panasonic SR-LE10 5-Cup Rice Cooker with Advanced Fuzzy Logic TechnologyI've used the Panasonic SR-LE10 rice cooker 3-4 times per week for about 3 years now and highly recommend it. This little champion makes fantastic rice, each and every time. After a few goes, you learn how much rice to water ratio to make fluffier or moister rice, and then you're off. The fuzzy logic controls work like magic, with perfect rice each time. You're supposed to fluff the rice right after the machine beeps that the cycle is finished, but I've even let it "keep warm" (for example, when I set the machine then leave the house) for 2-3 hours before returning. If you don't fluff it up, the rice can get a little bit hard on the top, but only marginally so and very acceptable.I also use it constantly for steaming vegetables. It comes with a plastic vegetable tray, and you put a few cm of water in the metal rice bowl, and after 15 minutes (depending on the vegetables and quantity) you're done. Perfectly cooked, tasty, and super healthy! I make steams vegetables this way for my 2 year old all the time (carrots, sweet potatoes, etc.)The only downsides: the plastic rice bowl is fairly easily stained. I don't think it's a cleanliness issue, but after putting carrots, beets, or other colored vegetables in for steaming, the plastic gets permanently stained over time. Simply ascetics, but something to noteI finally bought a new machine (again, after 3 years), only because the bottom non-stick surface of the rice pan has begun to get 2-3 small scratches in it. They are still very small, but I don't like cooking on pans/machines that are beginning to have their non-stick coating peel. This may be somewhat my fault, as I don't use a dishwasher and the scratches *may* come from knocking dishes together in the sink - or it may just be worn out. Mechanically, the old machine works perfectly. I actually bought the same model, but it would be nice if Panasonic sold the inner pans separately as a replacement part; but perhaps too much to ask for.One thing I haven't done yet is use the rice maker as a slow-cooker (or crock pot); I noticed in the new instruction manual there are suggestions for this, and I'll give it a go in the next few weeks....This review is from: Panasonic SR-LE10 5-Cup Rice Cooker with Advanced Fuzzy Logic Technologythis rice cooker does the job I bought it for- cooking rice and keeping it warm. If I were to improve the cooker I would do two things: a) include a recipe for brown rice b) have the top be removeable for easy cleaning....
