This takes a little experience. After using it a half dozen times, it started switching off mid-way through, so I'd cruise back into the kitchen a half hour later ready to prep dinner and find it still full of water. After another five or six uses, it won't switch from warm to cook at all anymore. I should have bought a slightly better Aroma rice cooker instead of contributing this one to our landfill so quickly....This review is from: Maxi-Matic Elite Cuisine Rice Cooker with Glass LidI currently own and have used this rice cooker for over three years with excellent results each time. I know it makes up to 3 cups of rice but I typically only make 1 with no problem (1 cup triple rinsed basmati rice + 2 cups water). Not much else to share besides it works as advertised, is well-made and is, in my opinion, a good value....
