I purchased for use primarily as a tabletop boiling pot for sate', but with the adjustable heating it works great as a warming pot, simmer pot, steamer, and a variety of other dishes. The power cord is a little short for the table top cooking, but is perfect lenght if the cooker is on the countertop. The plastic bottom is a little flimsy, but as long as it isn't dropped, works well. Good cooker at a good price....
