We have bought around 5 otherbrands , nothing compared to tiger , its always good to eat the rice.On other brand you have to remove it as soon as it was cooked or itwill turned brown or even black.This one is made in Japan....This review is from: Tiger JNP-1000FG Electronic Rice Cooker / Warmer (5.5 cups)I have used Tiger Rice cooker for 12 years and I love them I have a 10 cup and a 4 cup. The 4 cup I used almost everyday and it preformed beyond my wildest espectations. I am thrilled to buy the 5.5 cup and have no doubt that it will be just as outstanding as the other 2. I lived in Hawaii for 18 years and rice is a staple in their diet and we comformed. We now live on the mainland but rice is now a part of our lives....
