Imusa Rice Cooker Nonstick 8 Cup

This review is from: Imusa Rice Cooker Nonstick 8 CupI love my rice, and have used rice cookers for years. I have had decent luck with cheaper models and decided to try this one. It was a total lemon! The button started popping up halfway through the cooking cycle, and I had to gerry-rig it with a spatula to get it to stay down long enough to finish the rice. So I took that machine back to the store and for experiment's sake, got the same model rice cooker to replace it. Maybe it was just a faulty cooker, and the next one will work? No such luck. Having the same problem with the 2nd machine. I guess I got what I paid for!...This review is from: Imusa Rice Cooker Nonstick 8 CupBought this on a whim at bed bath and beyond last week for 20 bucks. I put for cups of Basmati rice in it, filled it up to the "4" mark on the inner bowl, put the lid on and flipped the switch. 25 minutes later - perfectly cooked rice. Not to starchy and sticky(how it usually gets when i cook it on the stove top). After it was done cooking, the switch clicked to warm mode and just kept the rice warm. pretty much perfect operation.I am a little suprised the other reviewer complained about the instructions - c'mon, it's a rice maker!! It is like complaining that you bought a new car and it didn't come with instructions on how to fill up the as tank!...This review is from: Imusa Rice Cooker Nonstick 8 CupWell, I bought one of these 8 cup rice cookers, and the instructions are totally nonsense. Of course the disclaimers make sense, but c'mon, if my wife can't figure them out, nobody will. But, there is always the 'mystery cook.' throw in the rice, add water, turn on, cover pot. sure would be nice to have decent instructions....
