This review is from: Aroma Pot Style Non-Stick Rice Cooker and Food SteamerI bought this rice cooker from Target for $15. I've had it for a few months now and it works great and cooks the rice easily. The rice comes out really good and it is easy to use. You can cook vegetables at the same time. When it's done cooking the rice it goes into "warm" mode and keeps it nice and warm for you so you get it fresh. It is very light weight and easy to wash. No mess and ideal for a college student or family. It can cook rice for five people. Worth buying if you want a simple rice cooker, comes with a one year warranty. I don't expect it to last years but it's worth buying because you don't have to worry about cooking your own rice and having it come out bad. You can cook small or big amount of rice. Not bad for a low price rice cooker....This review is from: Aroma Pot Style Non-Stick Rice Cooker and Food SteamerI have been using this red rice cooker for less than 4 months and now it is completely unusable. I know how to gently clean a non-stick thing but this one is driving me crazy. The non-stick layer just keeps falling off, especially at the bottom.I have to say the cheapest rice cooker I could find in China (cost me 90 RMB/12 US dolloars) works way way better than this one. I cook with it for all my fourth year at college and it was still working well. I even gave it to my friend as a Goodbye-gift when I graduated and left the country.I used to think today a rice cooker with a bad non-stick layer couldn't be put on the market until I met Aroma. It feels bad when you find yourself eating the rice and the invisible fallen layer pieces at the same time.Very disappointed. I am going to buy a Zojirushi, which is twice more expensive but can last much longer, even 5 years, according to some reviews....This review is from: Aroma Pot Style Non-Stick Rice Cooker and Food SteamerBought this rice cooker a bit over a year ago relying on mainly good reviews and the fact we didn't want to spend much. We should have saved our money. The unit has simply stopped working. Attempts to get a reply from Aroma customer service have failed. The laughable "warranty" has expired, and even if it had not the cost of shipping and handling exceeds the cost of buying a new one. I finally tried to fix it myself, but it appears some sort of switch is broken and I have no idea how to get a replacement....
