It looks like the instructions are for a 600-800 watt microwave.Cooked brown rice according to instructions (full 1100 watts) and it was too dry and I had to add water and cook it some more, but it ended up very light and nice. Next time I think 80% power will work better.Cooked pasta at the high end of the time on 80% power and it came out just right.Cooked popcorn 2-1/2 to 3 minutes on high.It is true that there was residue on the microwave plate after both rice and pasta, but just a little and it cleaned up easily.I think this is a great cooker and much much easier to clean that a big pasta pot....This review is from: Keilen 4-in-1 Microwave Rice CookerThis rice cooker couldn't be more basic or easier to use. I cook for 2 most of the time so the size is fine for us. Use mostly white basmati rice but others too. This cooker is exactly like the Joyce Chen I used to have (until I burnt it to a crisp, my fault). Didn't want an electric one and this really does do what I want and can be put in the dishwasher too. Love it!...
