This review is from: Wolfgang Puck 10th Anniversary 7 Cup Rice CookerThe rice from this cooker turns out pretty well if you don't add too much water. For every cup of rice, I add about a cup and a half of water, and this makes a good batch of rice no matter how little or how much I cook. I also like the plastic paddle that comes with the cooker. Little things that irritate me: (1) the vent for the steam is in the back of cooker, so I have to pull it far away from any cabinets or turn it backwards to use it; (2) tough to clean, because the condensation from the steam accumulates on the top cook plate and runs into grooves that cannot be separated from the appliance, so it can be very awkward and time-consuming to clean well; (3) the "warm" function runs too hot, so you have to unplug the device altogether and heat up left over rice in the microwave or else the bottom gets burned; and (4) the steamer tray sits pretty low inside the cooker, so you can't cook rice and steam vegetables or whatever at the same time. Overall: an OK rice cooker for now, but may consider getting another long-term....This review is from: Wolfgang Puck 10th Anniversary 7 Cup Rice CookerI bought this several yrs ago (f/ televised network) but was surfing amazon (love amazons free shipping!) for a friends bday and noticed the negative reviews. I just wanted to add, I absolutely love this rice cooker! And it is so versatile! It comes with several of Puck's recipes like Mac & Cheese, Stews, Beans & Rice, Pilaf, etc, plus it steams other foods. It cook quickly and best of all, very easy clean up (must remember to empty the outside excess steam catcher). I used to avoid cooking but the ease of this product has helped me eat healthier with little fuss or mess. I haven't found a burning issue, it will "brown" the bottom of items if you leave it on the "warm" function too long. I haven't used other rice cookers, so I'm a bit biased, but very satisfied with my purchase....This review is from: Wolfgang Puck 10th Anniversary 7 Cup Rice CookerNo problem in cooking rice but I stopped using it because this rice cooker does not have a lid so you can put to the refigerator after use. I don't understand why it does not come with it... I always end up using a saran wrap to seal it....
