Zojirushi NS-XBC05WR Rizo Micom 3-Cup Rice Cooker and Warmer, White

This review is from: Zojirushi NS-XBC05WR Rizo Micom 3-Cup Rice Cooker and Warmer, WhiteI have owned the Rizo cooker for over a year now and have been using it more seriously the past two months to cook long grain rice. The only thing good about this is the design. Here's a list of my compliant:1) Rice takes about 1 hr to cook2) With one cup you get "fluffy" rice (stirring required). Greater then two cups, the rice is extra moist in the center of the cooker and dry on the top and the sides. The design of the pan did not allow proper evaporation of water (this is an engineering flaw, what happened to quality control?). Therefore, moister gets trapped at the center and near the bottom of the cooked rice mass. Even if you stir it up as per instruction when the rice is done, you would get a mixture of somewhat mash-up rice.I am a frequent user of rice cookers. I find that some of the generic brand rice cookers at the department stores that run between $8 to $15 will do the job quite well, if not better.I am disappointed that this pricey item is more of a show piece then practical....This review is from: Zojirushi NS-XBC05WR Rizo Micom 3-Cup Rice Cooker and Warmer, WhiteThis is a great little rice cooker. I am Japanese and I know how good rice taste like. This rice cooker makes perfect rice every time. I also like the risotto feature - it is very easy. This rice cooker only cooks three cups of rice, so it is recommended for a small household (3 people or less)....
